Class Reflections

Personally, I enjoyed taking an online class. One of the things I probably enjoyed the most is being able to voice my opinion through writing and having our fellow students read and criticize what we have to say. I especially enjoyed this because the topics we discussed are suitable for today's issues. Another factor that I liked is that we got the opportunity to take our tests online. It was convenient and nice to take it whenever it is best for us and in the comfort of our own home. What I did not like about the class are the group projects. Not everyone in the class participates as much as one person would. It was more difficult to keep in contact with someone from a group and get the work done efficiently. I prefer to work by myself or in pairs. I think that is one way that the class can be improved. We can have smaller groups so it would be easier for students to get together and work on it. Aside from that, I thoroughly enjoyed the class.

  1. Online classes are the best I would say because I can do my work on my own time minus the group assignments. I totally agree about being able to voice my own opinion because in most courses professors do not let you express yourself as you wish. The topics we discussed were perfect because we used them in our everyday lives, which made it interesting. I loved see what other people had to say in their blogs. The group thing was pretty difficult because there is always that one person that takes forever to reply and do their part. That was extremely annoying! I would agree with you on working in a pair or better yet alone.

  2. I agree when you explained how group assignments were the most difficult parts of this class. Many of my group members would slack off a lot and I was afraid the assignment would not get finished. I had never been quiet so stressed about group assignments as I did during this class. It was difficult to contact the group members right away because many of them would not respond, which would only make me stressed (I had other classes to deal with too!) If only there was a better way to go about the group projects... I guess future students will have to bite their tongues and push through the projects.
